A Passion for His Promises

How much do we believe that God is for us?
The word says that " if he is for us than who can be against us" Romans 8:31.

In the last several years God has done some phenomenal things in my life and in the lives of my family.  I have watched him part our Red Sea, I have watched him raise a marriage form the dead.  I have have prayed till I couldn't pray any more, and yet still I was able to continue on.... to press in and seek more of God.  Since 2007 I have watched God reconstruct my life.  From a simple dream he birthed in my heart, as it came from my heart in an audible prayer.  I dared to dream that my life could be different.  That my marriage, my husband, my children and I could all be transformed into the image of Christ.  Out of our ashes God was able to find beauty and give us new life.  He has dared us to press in further, to dream bigger, and to watch him fight for us!  When we have done all that we could do, he is still faithful to complete the work he began!  God has never stopped teaching us, holding us in the midst of our trials.  We have seen many victories;  Not because every situation turned out like we had asked for in our prayers, but because we believed that God's plan was perfect and that everything works together for our good, and for his Glory!!!!!!  I don't know about you but that gets me excited!  His word says we have not because we ask not!

"Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they will be granted you. Mark 11:24

So what does it look like when God does a miracle?  I can tell you that often times as Americans we don't really need God.  Why ask him for what we can do for ourselves?  If we don't have opportunity to need him, how do we invite him in and ask for miracles.  I am not talking about asking for more, when what we have is already pretty great.  I am talking about  where the rubber meets the road........ Those places we come to where there is no hope, and without God our circumstance cannot change.  I often think about pastors we know who are oversees in ministry and I get excited because many of them are in places were people have very little and it is easy for them to see the miracles that God want's to do.

This is what God wants to do in America as well.

Plan to check back for the next several days as I share the next step in where God is moving mountains in our life!
